Milk Mustache Mania says Carson Daly was photographed at MTV studios in New York City in front of the big-screen monitor used to show the weekly Total Request Live countdown videos. He changed into three or four outfits before the one used was chosen; the book adds that every detail of a celebrity photo, down to the size of the glass in the celebrity's hand, is discussed and approved by a number of people first.
