Milk. Love What’s Real.
MilkPEP’s real-milk campaign.
Campaign history
The 2019 direction
MilkPEP launched Milk. Love What’s Real. in the first quarter of 2019. Its annual report describes a parent-focused campaign about the ordinary moments in which milk is present: a latte with a friend, a post-race chocolate milk, or a glass of milk with a cookie. That emotional framing made it distinct from the athlete and children’s programs running at the same time. Source: MilkPEP.
One promise, three campaigns
MilkPEP described a larger brand promise, To Savor What’s Real, and What Really Matters. It used that promise as an umbrella for Milk. Love What’s Real., Built with Chocolate Milk, and Milk It!, but named each as a separate consumer campaign with a different household audience. The distinction matters when identifying ads: shared branding does not make every MilkPEP spot part of the same campaign. Source: MilkPEP.
Television and broader reach
The 2019 report says the launch television commercial ran on major networks for much of that year. MilkPEP also described a total-market approach instead of a dedicated Hispanic campaign in 2019. This archive retains the campaign’s own name and identifies the medium and market on each cataloged commercial. Source: MilkPEP.
