Notes

A fourth-grade bully raids second-grade girls’ lunchboxes and finds every thermos empty; from the last girl’s thermos falls a piece of lined paper reading “GOT MILK?”, and she blows him a raspberry.

Made by: California Milk Processor Board; agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.

Got Milk? The Book (1999) tells the story (pp. 113–116) and prints the script (pp. 160–161: “So, what did mommy make us for lunch today?”); it dates the spot May 1997. The Bridge Brands complaint of 2014 lists “Lunchroom” among the board’s award-winning spots.

A fan upload titled “Got Milk commercial school bully 1998” is shown in the player below, but it has been matched by its title only; no confirmed copy has been found, so the record has no picture.
