Notes

Three screenshots of bodybymilk.com as it ran in 2007, filed with the Patent and Trademark Office as specimens for the body by milk marks (August 23 and October 24, 2007). The site is drawn as a street scene the visitor scrolls along: the menu reads “Meet Milk Mustache Celebrities | Star in Your Own Ad | Free Music | Win Stuff”, with “Other Cool Stuff”, a radio player (“Click here to launch BBM radio”), “Listen Up — click here for free music”, a got milk? carton character and a row of avatars under “Select your style”.

Main picture: the beach scene with “the Milk Bar” van, a surfer and a man in a lab coat. The gallery has the street scene with a “Cold Milk” vending machine, signs to “The Park”, “The Club”, “Amphitheatre”, “Chicago” and “L.A.”, a “Make your own milk mustache ad” board and a pop-up headed “CHECK IT OUT!” (“Some studies indicate that teens who drink milk instead of sugary soft drinks tend to be leaner and have less body fat than those who don’t. … Drinking three glasses of lowfat milk each day in place of sugary soft drinks …”), and the “body by milk Amphitheatre” with a High School Musical 2 stage, a “Back Stage” tower and a “Body by Milk ad” kiosk. No milk mustache is shown in the screenshots.

Issued by: MilkPEP (the National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board, the registrant of the marks). The school sell sheet that introduced the site’s auctions and sweepstakes (extra-1167) and the Body by Milk posters and banners on file belong to the same programme.
