“To Rock’n’Roll All Night You Need Good Nutrition” — 1/3-page ad with the At-Home Cappuccino recipe (SPIN, January 1997)
Category:Advertisement / promotion
Collections:Health & Nutrition
Type:1/3-page magazine ad
Notes
A vertical one-third-page text ad: a yellow headline box reading “To Rock’n’Roll All Night You Need Good Nutrition”, body copy on calcium (“Over half of you don’t get the daily requirement of calcium your bodies need. Yet calcium helps protect and maintain bones. At least three 8 fl. oz. glasses of milk a day will help insure you’re getting enough calcium.”), a paragraph on 1% and skim milk, a list of what an 8-ounce glass gives (9 essential nutrients, 12 grams of carbohydrates, 8 grams of protein, water), then a second yellow box, “At-Home Cappuccino for a Warm Quick Fix”, with the recipe (2 cups skim or 1% milk, 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 cups strong coffee, cinnamon or grated chocolate), a photograph of a cup of cappuccino, nutrition facts (“Daily Value: 15% calcium.”) and a pink footer box, “http://www.whymilk.com/ 1-800-WHY-MILK”.
No milk mustache; no sponsor name is printed, only the telephone line 1-800-WHY-MILK and http://www.whymilk.com, which the national Milk Mustache campaign used. The same recipe appears in another layout in the 1997 “CAFE17 - Make it Steamy with Milk” piece, which has its own entry (extra-264).
The issue is that of the file saved by the research pass; the page itself carries only the folio “56 SPIN”, and the Fugees cover story on the page is consistent with the January 1997 issue, the report read.
