“McCall’s and Discovery Zone kicked off the Funtastical Story Contest, designed to encourage and reward creativity in children ages 4–13. Over 1,500 children let their imaginations run wild and sent in an original story or drawing… Discovery Zone and McCall’s are proud to award the winners $7,500 in prizes and a party at Discovery Zone.” Presented with the American Federation of Teachers; judges included Tempest Bledsoe, Deborah Norville, Patricia Richardson and Dr. James Rippe.
